Counselling is a form of talk therapy. It is a process where a couple or an individual meet with a professionally trained counsellor to discuss issues and problems that they are facing in their lives. Professional counselling is confidential and non judgemental.
Counselling can provide people an opportunity to share their views, be heard and gain new perspectives on their situation, themselves and experiences.
Counselling can help people gain clarity and direction around issues that they are facing. Counselling can help by allowing a safe and private place for you to talk about ussues and problems you are having. These are problems, that you may find difficult to talk to friends about as they feel very private. It may feel to you, unsafe or uncomfortable to talk to your normal support networks, friends or loved ones about these issues.
